Former Quetta Gladiators player Shahid Afridi has revealed that he advised his former franchise manager, Nadeem Omar, to remove Sarfaraz Ahmed from the captaincy.
While speaking on a local television station, the former player said that the game of wicketkeeper-pea would be good if he did not have the burden of leading the side.
“I spoke with Nadeem Omar before the season, they should play Sarfaraz as a single player, so the pressure is less on him and he can enjoy his game,” he said. Afridi.

Afridi also criticized the management of Quetta Gladiators for not selecting the right combination of players in the draft for PSL 8.
“Quetta Gladiators have not done their homework properly this season. Also, they keep cutting and changing their lines,” he said.
“On what basis did they include Umar Akmal in the team? Is his strength up to the mark? These things show whether the team is serious when they pick the team,” he concluded.
The Gladiators are currently languishing at the bottom of the points table, having lost four of their first five games this season.
