South Africa opener Dale Steyn has marveled at Pakistan’s left-arm pace, Shaheen Afridi’s use of his wrist as he bowls his dangerous deliveries.
While commenting on a video of Shaheen dismissing Babar Azam in Sunday’s PSL match between Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi, the popular cricketer admired the curve and slapped Shaheen’s wrist and recommend young drivers to learn from him.
“Shaheen’s wrist is amazing. The curve and flick that he has is very special and is an area that many young fast bowlers can look to find their footing. “It’s more speed they’re looking for,” Steyn said.
“There are few examples that one can try, but if you are over 25 I’m sorry but it might be too late. It’s still worth a try,“ he added.

In the above mentioned match, Shaheen was in his best form when he cracked the bat of Mohammad Haris in the very first ball of the second innings. Then on the next delivery, Haris was dismissed with a seamer for a duck.
Shaheen picked up a five-wicket haul to help his team register a 40-run win over Zalmi.
